Programming is up and rolling at WBL’s newest campus, The Lab, at Edgewood Terrace in NE DC. Primarily serving high-schoolers who live at Edgewood Terrace, a Community Preservation and Development Corporation property.
Words Beats & Life staff and fam are excited to be a new part of a thriving community. An especially exciting aspect of this partnership is that WBL is working with the Beacon House, a long-standing non-profit member of the Edgewood Terrace Community, to round out youth programming to make sure that all youth have access to substantial support in becoming creative, intellectual and engaged participants in their community. Graffiti, Beat Production, Emceeing and Photography classes will all be offered (for free, as always!) on a weekly basis to any students in the community interested in improving their craft.
