EVENTS

One of the ways Words Beats & Life works to transform individual lives and entire communities is by producing high quality events centered around the presentation and teaching of the elements of hip-hop culture. Each year, WBL produces four types of large-scale signature events; “The Bootleg Festival” (a film festival centered around hip-hop’s underground economy), “Bum Rush the Boards”,(a hip-hop chess tournament) “The Freshest of All Time” (a b-boy jam) and “Remixing the Art of Social Change: A Hip-Hop Approach” (an international teach-in).
