The Freshest of All Time Aims To…

The goals of The Freshest of All Time is to be the premiere b-boy jam in the District of Columbia in terms of crew participation, caliber of artists, audience size and diversity. We know that we have laid the foundation to do just that. We are now in a position where investing in the event can only result in greater participation from artists and audience. The Freshest of All Times is a four on four jam and is the largest of three jams we coordinate a year. In 2010, we want to relocate the Jam to Edgewood and make it outdoors on Friday July 9th from 4-10pm. The b-boy jam would be accompanied by a mural jam taking place one week earlier.

The staff of WBL will use every means at our disposal to engage youth, artists and scholars from through the District along with the web & print media to insure coverage of the Freshest of All Times. In the past we have done a good job of securing presence in the Washington Times, Washington Post, DC City Paper, Informer, Hilltop, Bulldog, East of the River, DC North, and numerous hip-hop and arts based blogs. We have made it a priority to where possible partner with like missioned organizations to support the larger field of hip-hop artists, scholars and organizations. In this case WBL would be partners with the Hip-Hop Theater Festival and Albus Cavus. Every major event we have hosted or developed, we have had 3-12 co-sponsors or partners. The Freshest of All Time is no different, in that we have a number of university and community based partners from throughout the District of Columbia.
