Projects

Our projects are aim to promote community involvement and engagement by celebrating the powerful culture of hip-hop. We have five key focuses — Arts Education, Cultural Diplomacy, Centering Marginalized Voices, Creative Employment and For The Culture — to encourage education, the arts, entrepreneurship and, most importantly, community. We run events in the DC area and all over the US, both in-person and online.

Rumi Nations

Rumi Nations is a multimedia gallery show featuring photos of Sufi communities in south Africa, Egypt and Senegal. The featured photos further “complicate” Muslim identities by depicting the diversity of Muslim communities in their everyday lives and in their places of worship and bliss. This installation tells a new story about the complexity of Muslim-ness and reflects the beauty of its many communities.
