When is the Words Beats & Life Festival?

The WBL Fest is a week-long festival beginning Monday, April 1st, 2024, and running through Sunday, April 7th, 2024


Where will the Words Beats & Life Festival be held?

Are WBL Fest events open to the public?

All WBL Fest events are open to the public.


How old do you have to be to attend WBL Fest events?

Each event will vary, from all-ages to adult programming for ages 21+. Please visit the specific events page for details. Find a complete list of events by clicking here.


How much does it cost to attend the WBL Fest?

WBL Fest events vary in price from Free with RSVP to $30. Due to limited space, we suggest you Purchase Tickets or RSVP to all events you are interested in attending and arrive early. See a complete list of our events and Purchase Tickets or RSVP by clicking here.


Do I need to Purchase Tickets or RSVP in advance?

We highly recommend purchasing tickets or RSVPing in advance as we expect most events to sell out. In the case that an event is not sold out, we will still have tickets available at the door.


Where can I park for WBL Fest?

Parking availability will be different at each event location. There is limited street parking for most locations, and a metered payment may be required. We suggest using public transportation or rideshare.


Can I volunteer to work at the WBL Fest?

We are a nonprofit organization that relies on the support of the community. We are looking for volunteers to assist with onsite marketing and production tasks at the WBL Fest events. If you are interested in volunteering during the festival, please fill out this form.


How do I become a vendor at an event during WBL Fest?

Any vendors wishing to sell food or non-food products at a WBL Fest event can fill out this form.

How do I perform an event during WBL Fest?

We are looking for visual and non musical performance artists to take part in activations around Franklin Park during our Jazz & Blossoms event on Sunday, April 7th. Anyone wishing to submit their information to be considered can fill out this form. All other events during the festival are currently fully booked.

Will COVID-19 safety precautions be taken and enforced at the WBL Fest?

We follow the regulations set by the District of Columbia and the state of MD, which do not require wearing masks while attending indoor or outdoor events. Anyone wishing to wear a mask while attending the WBL Fest is welcome to take the precautions they desire to avoid any possible health risks.
